Martial arts mangas like this tend to have somewhat satisfying moments where the MC defies the odds and turns the tables.
Unfortunately, most mangas of this subject have lazily written characters.
Typically, it's every man or woman for himself/herself, with nearly every character (the MC included sometimes) being an unlikeable assholish prideful neanderthal that beats up their opponents to get what they want.
Every antagonistic entity (rival or otherwise) that opposes the MC will be some selfish, prideful, self-entitled, one-dimensional bully that all of the commenters want to die in horrible ways. They're all scheming snakes with 0 redeeming qualities and absolutely no other purpose of existence other than to be an obstacle for the MC (and co.). Their idiocy and continuous comeuppances serve to highlight how "amazing" or "better" the MC is. They're like the martial arts cultivation manga trope equivalent of the bully adventurers in isekai fantasy mangas that exist solely so that MCs can beat them up and prove that they're "not just a kid" or whatever.
One or two of these guys is alright occasionally, but when bad authors can't think up any new or interesting plot lines to grow their characters and resort to using these guys to force conflicts, it gets annoying REALLY FAST.
Hell, this entire manga can be roughly summarized as "Weak underdog MC gets stronger and beats the bullies", Martial Arts edition #231312234124124312412
