Killing the woman should remove the seal, right? It's difficult to believe the seal could affect him so much he couldn't do it, seeing how he was able to attack her before.

Doing so would be extremely painful emotionally, like randomly killing one of his wives for no reason, he can't bring himself to do it unless she gives him a VERY good reason
