It was obvious Yang Kai would bring Wu Kuang to that place, but it's equally obvious Yang Kai and Wu Kuang should never spend a single moment together. They are utterly incompatible because Yang Kai is a bird brain and Wu Kuang is a greedy villain through and through, only living for the heaven devouring battle law. So, Wu Kuang is always going to use the technique on everything and anything, whereas Yang Kai seemingly never seem to understand that. It's not like Yang Kai would be knowingly making a sacrifice in order to bring Wu Kuang to that place, he's just geninely surprised every fricking time Wu Kuang goes forward and uses the devouring technique wherever and whenever. An airhead like Yang Kai simply should have no dealings with Wu Kuang, ever.
