A well-deserved kick in the sac. Just deserts in the desert!

Something I've noticed about this story. They've been up and down the west coast, and gone reasonably far inland. Yet no matter where they go, the climate almost always looks like a desert. Arizona desert, specifically. You would get a variety of deserts from Southern Cal to Nevada to the Great Basin, but also some temperate forest and high mountains. I guess the author thought "Western! Westerns are in the desert!" and ran with it.

One thing I don't like about MC is that he is way too callous. He should understand that clans are a huge aspect of the Murim. The Baek clan was destroyed so I can't blame the only heir for wanting revenge. He just comes off as victim blaming. He lets the imperial bastard trick him time and time again and doesn't hold him to any fault. It just comes off as pro empire. I know he doesn't want to make enemies but for someone who supposedly read a lot of Murim novels he should be able to understand their feelings on matters such as revenge.
