I think most people doesn't like it as well, me includedjeez, tl really didnt like this sequel.
Anime advertisement.what is this manga?? the high school story was already good and ended pretty much not bad either but this sht is coming just because the anime got a sequel. most my opinions are the same as the rant from the tl group which i really respect that, but still TIV drawing still great as always and that is the only good thing from this manga
In the past, open ending used to mean "The rest was up to your imagination". But in recent years, it slowly but surely drifted toward "Yeah, there's still more to come... perhaps... keep following us and we'll probably drop a sequel 2-3 years down the line." I absolutely dislike this take, because if you look back, the original Masamune has "THE END" at Chapter 49... then out of nowhere "After school" come along as a "short serialized sequel", and then Chapter 56 has "THE END" as well (Now what, we're having two endings?). THEN comes Engagement, which by this point "THE END" means nothing, because the authors fully intend to write more and us audiences are never left with a conclusive, definitive ending.I think I have a different interpretation of the term open ended than the translator has….they got engaged and everything his happy. Could there be more? Of course, by that logic any ending that’s not our two leads tombstones on the final panel is open ended lol
This would've been better if author focused on Aki and Masamune dealing with their long distance relationship instead of the needless drama of the new girl
Heck, this sequel would've been better if author just made a what if Masamune with other girls or if they just focus on Yoshino dealing with her problem of not knowing what to do with future instead
Bro is being over dramatic because of words at the end of a mangas page lolIn the past, open ending used to mean "The rest was up to your imagination". I'm sorry but Western comic has this bad enough with retcon, side story, alternate story, anthology, etc... that milk a franchise to death with endless story format. I don't turn to manga for this in mind, when a story end THEN let it end and move on to something new.
It's called reasonable assumption lol. You don't click "purchase" on a digital product only to have it removed from your library years later because you didn't "purchase" but just "perpetually rent" it.Bro is being over dramatic because of words at the end of a mangas page lol
I think it’s incredibly stupid to demand a creator moves on from their creation. There’s nothing inherently wrong with doing a side story or sequel series, I know if I created something I wouldn’t just “move on to something new” unless I really wanted to or was forced to
I'm agree, this one just make rest of the series like shit but i don't hate it. 4/10 for this oneIn the past, open ending used to mean "The rest was up to your imagination".
