And they believed him without being announced by someone they recognize? Draining the stone isn't necessarily going to prove he's the crown prince.

Scene just doesn't make sense to me.

If you let a Queen rule the country will fall like England. Countries need king, and from ROYAL lineage.

@prothy like @Rift said, monarchial governments are historically patriarchal, even forgoing immediate female descendants if a male relative is available. From what we know, this country is a patriarchal monarchy. In some cases, Crown Prince can also be considered more important than his mother the Queen.

p11 damn, it seems how Hyme treated Olivia and Ain had become public knowledge, and the people of Ishtalica are still very salty about that, even after one year.

The flirting between them is cute but when the suggestive bath comment feels awkward when they're 7.

Claune treated the MC and his mother well from the start, and most people in Hyme (including Claune) have nothing to do with how poorly the Roundheart family treated him. I hope the writer didn't forget those details. If the writer purposefully made the MC decline to mention those details to focus on the MC's responsibilities, self-esteem, and public image, then well done.

The writer seemed to want the Roundheart father to be a bad person, but revealed almost nothing about the father's reasons for acting the way he did, and didn't really show the father treating the MC poorly outside the context of the inheritance contract (which the MC's mother tricked him into upholding).

If you really love and think about Ishtalica it's normal for us to detest Hyme.
"If you love your country it's normal for you to love X or hate Y" is a red flag for me.

I'm finally rereading this epic tale (not even close to The Bible, which is the Ultimate source of Information about our creation and Creator.)

I was wondering why people glossed over Claune asking him to join her in the bath and not finding that incredibly cringey, and wondered why they made a big deal of the speech, but then reading comments on here its seems most except for one reader a page or two ago are oblivious to the ages.

Ain is 7 here, and Claune might be a little older i want to say in LN she was maybe a 8 or 9? But her asking a seven her old to get into the bath with her clearly in a non platonic manner is much worse than anything in the speech.

Then again I think you need to look at Japanese Manga/Anime character like people look at dogs, they have a different aging mechanism ala one human year is seven dog years. As your typical Japanese MC at least in isekai can walk and talk at an articulate level by 3, is a hero who saved the world by 15, reaches middle age at 20, and if they live to 30 even Methuselah would be asking for anti aging tips. Like half the writers would just be better not mentioning ages because its really jarring, but I guess some of it has to with the notion in Japan that a lot of people see high school life as the peak of life, and the real world is so soul crushing.
