To be fair, when you make a 7 Chapter Prologue, its gonna be hard sell for most tbh... like seriously, why?Yo. New clingy jelous girlfriend just dropped. She's perfect :3
So who do I blame for this axe? The execs? The people who buy gooner isekai harem manga instead of manga with a soul? Aliens?
Peak get s axed and slop gets renewed indefinitely. I'm dead inside![]()
It's one of those really unfortunate times when good story telling =/= good serialized story telling. To be fair, when you make a 7 Chapter Prologue, its gonna be hard sell for most tbh... like seriously, why?
I feel this is kind of the rare case where the axe... as much as it sounds crazy, sorta fits? Sasuke just kinda took too long to capture interest, and it cost em. I dont hate what they tried, but that opening set of multiple chapters that feels like it'd happen in merely one big chapter killed any momentum it could've had imo.
And the thing is, I dont disagree. It dragged a bit, but I didnt mind too much.I had no problems with the pacing of the early chapters. I liked it the entire way through. It just felt like a normal manga. No more difficult than the set up for Shadows House for example.
Maybe people are adverse to a little mystery, but more likely pocket money in Japan only goes so far in the current economy and it simply didn’t sell enough volumes. Theres been a rash of cancellations lately. Living past the first serialization contract is tough.
I get that comepletely. But sometimes ya gotta invest for a pay off. Let em cook for a while ya know.To be fair, when you make a 7 Chapter Prologue, its gonna be hard sell for most tbh... like seriously, why?
