I know I'm a bit late to the party, but man, this chapter was unexpectedly sad. If you check the comments to the previous one, the readers are celebrating the fact that this manga (and a lot of its characters) acknowledge the difference between learning and memorizing, as well as the weight of expectations, and the specificity of one's dreams and values that are in no way universal.
So I was like, heck yeah, surely the Emperor understood he's placing quite a burden on the MC with no regard for her idea of personal happiness. Surely he will tell her it's okay to fail, and it's okay to step back if she's not really into it.
But nope.
"You didn't try hard enough, lol. Try harder for me, my precious little flower bud".
Bruh.
