I wish I used Mangadex earlier just for the comments. I can't believe I had found this title very early on back then. Felt like it was just yesterday but now it has a fair amount of chapters. The characters are surprisingly likeable. Somehow refreshing. The mystery in the beginning makes us wonder, "who is the girl he is looking for?"
The title is also perfect, kinda figurative and literal, to the story.
The fact that the story is more like a dive into the past. With short breaks back to the future(present)using vague dialougue and not actually seeing who said it. I can't find myself rooting for a single girl, though slightly leaning towards the more reserved black haired girl who constantly worries about being too selfish and unfair.
With the way it's being forshadowed, I really wish this will end like Bokuben, like multiple endings.

I honestly don't like harem stories that don't end with a harem because it feels like a waste of time if it doesn't end in one. If you wanna make normal romance then just make one female lead and that's it. You can always play with the jealousy trope but fleshing out a whole harem and not pushing through with it feels like a crime. Either way I feel like the canon ending will be with Shinobu too even if she wasn't the mystery girl from the radio. But I wouldn't mind a multiple ending thing for each character + a secret (true) harem ending. 😤😤😤

Exactly. I haven’t caught up due to school, but iirc the setup with the mysterious woman narrating gives the same set up as column with the mysterious woman who gave a hand during the fireworks. I really hope for a multiple ending.
