I knew that was a bullshit excuse just from anecdotal evidence. The coldest thing on this planet is the hands and feet of a woman. I swear to god a fucking slab of meat would thaw and become warm before my ex's hands and feet would if I wrapped the two of them in a heavy comforter. @newmangareader246 The potato doesn't magically turn into vodka, it still takes a long time to ferment as the amylase in her saliva would break down the starches into sugar and wild yeast would convert the sugar into alcohol....

It's literally more straightforward to take a piece of meat, slice it, season it, and hang it out in the cold like traditional biltong.

And I hope you don't like alcohol because it's basically the same exact process that makes sourdough *sour* that makes Alcohol a *thing*

@Kaitensatsuma it's been said that granny is the only one who could make vodka tho, so maybe her saliva is different or something? maybe there's some sort of chemical catalyst that turns potatoes into vodka quicker.

I'm pretty sure that for a world where "seasoning" is a foreign concept, making jerky is unthinkable.

I don't eat sourdough to get drunk tho. I understand why people like sourdough but it simply isn't for me I didn't mean to shit on your food preferences or anything (I did hear sourdough + clam chowder is really good), but compared to plain white bread or even wheat bread I think sourdough is inferior.
