Did he just casually tell them he's from another world? They didn't seem to mind, though.

damn dude really hates scum. It doesn't really impact the taste ya know :haa: and it's actually full of nutrients (protein), like the elf said, which could be very important for a nomadic tribe, where food is likely scarce. Dude is ruined by modern living.

At least this manga has an explanation why food culture stagnated in the tribe - trying to improve the food could lead to death. Unlike the usual trope where the isekai food is bad because... reasons :pepehmm:

Not only are Scum nutritious, the saturated version of it can also be used as healthy cooking oil. The scum mixed with ash can also be made into biofuel and soap. This dumbass threw it away as if the people of this tribe won't gut him for it.

noice, i prefer this rather than that one where the heroine keep trying to stop mc to cook instead of letting mc do his job
If by the "heroine keep trying to stop mc to cook instead of letting mc do his job" - you meant "Isekai Ryouridou", I would say you like your story with no substance.

Not only did the tension of "head chipped off" tension disappear after the chief started glazing him for making a basic seasoned meal while simultaneously insulting the tribal people because tribes till this day uses more spices than the miso, mayo, soya and salt dipping japs. The other Story has much more respect to stakes, has fleshed out character that doesn't exist for glazing Mc, and mystery in what ingredients functions like what to coordinate with their real life counterpart.
