The joke is getting super super repetitive, I really just want their relationship to have some actual development.

Well he was rich enough to buy the girl in the first place. I doubt gorgons come cheap, especially since they're usually used for assassinations. Not to mention, he got her an enchanted blindfold.
So he's probably just a nobleman, who just oversees his territory.

I know mangaka copy and paste here and there (who wouldn't), but I feel like this series has to be the most egregious use of it I've seen. When was the last time he actually drew a new panel for this manga?
You see the exact same compositions, angles, povs, and drawings over and over again.
I literally just had to check why I've been reading this author's work and it's like, yep, Bruised Classmate so I guess we got duped with that and assumed he'd try to tell another captivating story at some point in his life. TBD.
