Thanks for the translation. This is brutal if the bags are her and not just her tracker

Yeah that’s really fucked up. I hope you’re right and its just her tracker.

Aside from that, I wonder what the “villain” in this story is really after? Kill Meguru? Seems hollow. Nothing useful in that. Is it to trap MC in a loop of saving her? But that only puts MC in a time loop, everyone else’s lives just carry on from their perspectives.

I’m thinking maybe the Yakuza (or some adjacent organization) knows about his power and wants to use it. There’s all sorts of malicious applications to time travel - casing a joint in the future, for example. Or Stocks trading.
Is our main villain trying to force MC into working for them? I dunno.

More than who's the killer what bugs me is the motive like she is so sweet what in the world could they want her specifically for

Like for other mangas (i.e. Erased, Ship of Theseus, etc) like this its usually a serial killer and it just happens one of the victims is the mc's important person but its targeting Meg specifically

I mean the reason why Meguru’s being targeted may not necessarily be anything about herself but Mirai.

fuck. now I feel like she has some other identity that's not so innocent.

else if this is just a really deliberate way of making MC use his ability just to experiment on (and/or to get addicted), then this is really done by some psychopath. villain must have some satisfying character or background for this to be actually good.

the previous chapters indicate the culprits (guy with forehead scar) actually has grude against Mirai, he targettint Meguri might be just the first step

My theory is it's their child who has gone back in time to prevent himself from being born. Can't think of anything else

I've had that theory as well, but isn't it only their mind that goes back in time, and not their body? So it wouldn't be possible for him to go back into a time where he doesn't exist.
But on the other hand, the author did put a good bit of effort into explaining how the disease works, with this secretion, so maybe that could have been used to make a time machine? But that's too far fetched imo.

But I am sure that Mirai is the primary target of the murderer. It's interesting as well that he seems to have a whole gang behind him, as there were multiple people beating the guy with the dreads to death, as well as the baseball bat guy

Anyone have spoilers? This wait is killing me.
currently reading and already in chapter 35, all i can say is...

"in order to know future, let's take a step back and reflect on the past"

"it all STARTED FROM THE BEGINNING... 15 years ago"

this is pretty much how i can describe the story without outright spoiling it
