Whenever a Manga delves into technobabble, I <<skip>>
Because for a good story, the mechanics will either be super simple (ie Brandon Sanderson's 'hard magic') or they won't matter at all for the storytelling ('Soft magic')
If the writer leans on their technobabble to tell the story (treating 'soft magic' as if it was hard magic), then the manga is usually not worth reading.
