Seems like a really petty and inexperienced male MC to immediately believe all and any rumours. I don't see much success for his once great clan in the future if the young master is like this. The clan's enemies will discover that manipulating him will be as easy as stealing a candy from a child. Typically a middle school age person may still likely be susceptible to such elementary tricks, but a person being brought up to be a leader ought to be able to keep a cool head and not immediately believe anything by his age, unless he witnesses it himself. He'll be a walking disaster for his own clan if he doesn't grow up fast. History is full of such men who brought naught but ruin to what they should have protected, due to being slaves to their own emotions and being too gullible for their own good.
