It was short and sweet, but I feel like it could have been a lot more. Ryou never really had any personal struggle, nor did it show how he actually came to like her (other than his words), so I couldn't really connect with him as a character. He's pretty much the same at the end as he was at the beginning. Meanwhile, Tsumugi is a really compelling character and her struggles are definitely real and relatable, but they can't be solved by getting a boyfriend. The real issues that she was dealing with (towards her mother, her brother, her sense of self-worth, her social anxiety) were not addressed in any consequential way. Their relationship is very cute but very unequal, and that kinda leaves a bad taste on the sweet ending.
