She wants to get to know him without opening up, but is willing to tell a stranger her secrets. I can’t... everyone has secrets they don’t want to or can’t share and she acts like a victim when he doesn’t want to reveal his past. That’s not a friend or a companion if they make you tell them everything even stuff you don’t want to share.

@Jaredmdb
the novel had some smut happening (it's the stuff people do to gain favors using their body, in this case, mc and han-byul walked in on a girl and an instructor belonging to a clan do "stuff" so that she can get invited to the instructor's clan if she becomes his "woman") but it's been skipped so far (well, it didn't directly involve the mc this time, but not sure how they're gonna go about the next one)

@ScarletDevil13 Finally someone that agrees with me on this one. Is very easy for the audience say "He has knowledge about the future and is the protagonist of the story so why this dumb bitch is not allying with him?" whem they know all about the story but the characters don't have this insight. And she, instead of the others, notices the suspicious behaviour of the MC and that he is hiding something important from them and now that she is in the Hall, a place with psycopaths that have super powers and could kill or "use" her as woman, you can bet your sweet ass that she is gonna pick the most powerful entity to form an alliance. Now answer me who have more power a guild with hundreds of skill and experience players or a former militar soldier that saved your life but is hiding something?

@WarringChamp First he was the one that first hide information not her the MC himself point this out in the chapter, second the problem isn't that the MC is not "open up" but that his behaviour is suspicious and that is hiding crucial information from the party. For example, when he refuses to tell her what he was talking with the red hair guy when they first meet in the forest.

@Stalkerman It may be the difference in focuses. While a swordsman is specific to honing the blade and being more effective with bladed weapons, the mercenary may have a more versatile skill spread, so, not as effective with the blade as a swordsman, but they can use multiple weapons at a greater effectiveness than others, overall. May even have utility skills to work with as well.
