The reason she has the "lock" on her heart she referred to in this chapter in the first place is she got some Buddhist priest to seal her feelings for Yuan yuan and memories of having loved him after he broke her heart in the previous timeline because he didn't realize he liked her due to that emotion suppressing technique the ghost of the throne wanted to give him that he rejected a few chapters back in this life. She was warned by the priest that the chains would even last through reincarnation and if she really wanted to give up on love practically forever, so Yuan yuan has got to work hard to break that "lock". Yuan yuan didn't realize he loved her until she died and used the magic mirror Yuan Chu wants, to turn back time but the mirror is cursed and sealed his memories as the price for turning back time, which is why the spirit of the mirror tried to erase his love for Yuan Chu when his memories started to resurface and Yuan Yuan felt like the technique he rejected had cost him something precious.

I got to like ch 524 in the novel, where they are trying to fix Yuan Chu's mother's shattered soul to finish healing her. Turns out Yuan Chu's parents aren't entirely dead. Yuan Yuan gets punished for confessing to Yuan Chu by Yuan Chu's Grandpa because he was traumatized by Yuan Chu's parent's relationship Master-disciple romance ending horribly. Yuan Chu isn't sure how to feel. In the secret realm Yuan Yuan went to to do his punishment, he finds 1/2 insane Yuan Chu's dad turns out the mom's attempt to resurrect him worked. If mom hadn't been working on the ritual Yuan chu would have been born 2 years before Yuan Yuan rather than 4 years younger. Crazy woman was pregnant for 7 years due to using a technique to slow down gestation. And 1/2 insane dad is doing the same ritual to bring the mom back because he realized she was the one that truely loved him and his first love was just using him.

OOF but is it like them not being together/never being aware of each other's feeling simultaneously till the end or them going against the world for their love to be accepted (and like they ARE technically together but they're just trying to get others to not interfer)?? (thanks btw)
