Merging 2 chapter parts into a single chapter?

Is there a way on MangaDex where I can do exactly that↑?

For uploading chapters in the future, it will not be a problem, but for previously uploaded chapters (for example, ch.3.1 and ch.3.2), it's another matter.
The only way of merging 2 previously uploaded chapter fragments (that I am aware of) would be to edit one of the fragmented chapters to contain the full chapter, and to delete the other one(s). —But then I'd probably get shit from readers on how I deleted their comments.

So I just wanted to confirm first: Is there another way of merging fragmented chapters, or do I just have to pick the chapter with the least collateral?

+1 I would hope that there's some way to achieve this.

Back when I still frequented Kissmanga, one of the things that bugged me was that whenever the powers-to-be replaced chapters with newer versions, all of the Disqus comments for those chapters were lost :/

Comments can be merged into another chapter but I will have to do it.
