A house on a planet shouldn't be so expensive. Earth has over 8 billion people, yet you could get a house with a lot of land for cheap if you don't care where it is. Even in many safe countries. Exactly how overpopulated is the universe in this manga if that's such a big dream? Unless there's only a single known habitable planet per empire, with all the other star systems only having colonies living in space stations or scarce enclosed bases on environmentally hostile planets. Then I could imagine the single planet having pretty steep property prices. Is it like that?
