I drink a glass of Dr. Pepper (Zero) a day with my lunch.
I've done both Dr.Pepper and Coke... the Dr.Pepper got less tasty the more I drank it. Coca-Cola didn't.

I don't drink pop every day anymore.

But taste is subjective.

That said, pop is really unhealthy. There are a lot of people who would lose quite a bit of weight if they just cut it out of their daily diet.

Get the Mexican Coca-Cola, it's made with cane sugar and can be found in most places in North America (just not in large grocery stores—look for specialty food shops). And uses the old large glass bottles.

In Canada it's made with white sugar (beet, IIRC), and in the US it's corn syrup (sweeter and far more unhealthy than white sugar).

Honestly, I prefer the beet sugar variant. It's... more neutral with no built-in extra flavour so you get more cola and less "maple syrup".
Er... I mean, I'm well aware of Mexi-Coke. If I purposefully drink a Coke, I certainly go for that variety. But I get my caffeine/pop fill (no more than a 12oz-er per day) w/ Dr. Pepper. Well, these days it would be Dublin 1891 Red Cola, the original cane sugar version of [Dublin] Dr. Pepper... renamed after Snapple got all lawsuit-y.

I had the same reaction drinking Dr Pepper the 1st time in my trip to Japan. Did not like it.

Android Maids tho, I want to see one in the story now, as a side character now!

Not sure why it bothers me so much that he keeps complaining about the cola being uncarbonated, but he won't put in the little effort it takes to just carbonate it himself. My brain refuses to believe a space society wouldn't have bottles of compressed carbon dioxide, or machines that could be retrofitted to produce compressed carbon dioxide.

To each their own. With that said, unless you're diabetic, you should probably stick to pop that uses real sugar.

Aspartame: carcinogenic, also makes it more difficult for the body to burn off existing fat.

Stevia: Might actually be okay if refined and pure, but is almost always mixed with other things that cause issues.

Splenda: Can strip your stomach lining with regular use.

Corn Syrup: The body treats it more like alcohol than sugar (which is bad).

Really though, just cutting pop out of one's diet altogether is for the best.

Dr Pepper is not a cola in the first place so there‘s no reason to slander it because it doesn’t taste like cola
the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania ruled in 1963 that Dr Pepper is not legally a cola, since upheld by the Federal Trade Commission and the Food and Drug Administration

Between cola and Dr Pepper, I'll take Dr Pepper any day. However, from what I've understood, even the ordinary cola isn't as popular in Japan as in the West, so Dr Pepper must be quite esoteric over there.

I feel like it’s quite important to say that Europe uses cane sugar in the Cola, while there is corn syrup in American Cola. That is what makes all the difference. I’m not a fan of Cola at all myself, but I know that they are supposed to taste widely different depending on the sweetener used. And basically, the cane sugar variant is almost always preferred.
I'd have thought sugar from sugar beet is used at least in northern Europe. Sugar cane is a tropical plant. Sugar beet is plentiful in European Union. I kind of doubt you can tell apart cane sugar and sugar beet sugar in cola. High-fructose corn syrup is such poison that I avoid it. Regular refined sugar is already bad enough for your health, but high-fructose corn syrup is courting death.

Android is a human looking robot. Technically android means a robot that looks like a man, whereas gynoid is one that looks like a woman. However, in practice they are all called androids these days. I suppose these androids don't want to be called robots just like a human might not like to be called an ape or a primate by some space alien.
