Stated by the author, though Stellaris is obviously also playing a role. As of the current material in the webnovel, I'm also wondering if Sword of the Stars is making an appearance too.
to bad no EvE ships then...
but then those space-dwarfs would have gone nuts if Hiro had brought back a Nightmare for em too look at :p

I didn't know he'd named any specific influences.
...
It's one solution to Frontier's refusal to implement ship interiors, that's for sure.

Wooah finally we have the crazy manoeuvres being on manga. I hope the mangaka does well on this part! (Present tense because the tl-ed chapters are not out yet)

On a side note, every time I read this series I have an intense desire to dive back into Elite: Dangerous but between a 2-year hiatus and me there's a lot of control I have to relearn again and that's a hassle lmao.

Gonna be a long time until twins loli sex. If at all. From what I read the dwarf sisters are not romanceable lol.

Kind of wish the mangaka could better distinguish one of the dwarves from Elma better.
Other manga has dwarves with dark skin and sharper ears, here the only difference is that they're smaller than Elma.

I like how they portrayed the dwarf twins along with the guilds and corporates.
Tina grew up a guilder and is expressive and wild.
Wiska grew up a corporate and is reserved and shy.
As the Kristina crew are seeing the twins work styles are the opposite of their personality. Wiska is wild with her designs going with efficiency and Tina is more practical with tried and true methods.

I haven't read the novel so I'll just give my thoughts.

If you think about it, it makes sense that both their work methods are what they are.
In a company you want nice consistent work that can be made to please the customer and be cost-effective so Tima learning those skills to get out of the guilds and into the corps makes sense they won't want to hire a wild engineer if possible.

As for Wiska it also makes sense she grew up in a corps and when your next to many people of the same consistent level bringing developing practical consistent products to stand out and show your skill you have to go wild and throw the standard to the wind to developed something wild and new to show your worth.

Their engineer methods are just as much a product of their investment and goal as there personalities.

Tina has to be wild and flashy to be noticed to get out of the guilds and show her consistent practical skills to get in the corps.

Wiska has to be timid and reserved to live in a corps and let's her wild creations do the talking to survive in the corps and be noticed amongs the crowd.
