You know....I never really get the different ship class size in this manga universe, like the small ship feels really big and the big ones are really small. Like the Chris grandpa ship looks really small for something equivalent to a battleship if you considering the fact the docking station could fit 6 of these bad boys in.

Remember there's only a tiny number of habitable planets and they normally get used for essential things, having a planet-side home is an extreme luxury. Also he needs to become a 1st class citizen to get landowner rights in the empire before it can happen anyway.

Manga is just doing a bad job of conveying scale. The space stations are megastructures, the hanger is way larger than that panel implied.
