Woah. Wasn't expecting a reply to my post with a bad, factually wrong, and very poorly written take. You're completely right on it. A lot of isekais have beta MCs where they don't smash the girl literally throwing themselves at him.I don't what you are spouting about but almost every isekai mangas has an MC like that. Balless dude, who pleases every female in his harem, they don't have any romance or intimacy when a woman that literally sends him erotic signals appear they act like cheated wifes.
His desire to remain beta? His desire is to fuck those girls but he wants them to want it and ask him to fuck them because he doesn't have the courage to take the lead. Didn't you read the manga? He literally thinks about erotic stuff with them all the time.
Also what's the point of conquering the world? It's just responsibility for him without any benefit. By using his shipping skill he can play and relax and earn enough money to live like an emperor.
But IIRC The original reason I liked this one in particular was the dynamic between the two parties being different to the status quo. Its not about how much the girls would do anything for/with the mc, or how much they want to ride him, and so on. They just hang out together with the MC getting a lot of eye candy.
As for the take over the world bit, that was more a reference to the other side of the isekai landscape where the protagonist basically becomes a king with their cheat skill.
I did end up dropping this one too. So. Eh. The novelty wore off I guess. It did get me to read more than the average generic isekai though.
