At this point, I'd even prefer if the author gave Wataru a change of heart and made him enthusiastically warmonger. Rather than this shit where he's now spent at least one more month waiting for a small army to be assembled and regroup while also "I can't let this drag on for too long".

Oh well, at least it seems we're actually heading towards the end of that tiresome arc.

A lookout for what? A chance to betray your best ally and probably leave the whole operation dead in the water, on account that no one would be able to operate the "magic" ship (yeah, in theory they could figure out the controls, but they don't know that)? Makes no sense. Might be worth consideration if they didn't have enemies closing in on them from all sides.

Maybe it's been addressed in the past and I forgot, but... what happens if the ship just full force rams into land with a motorized boat?

There could be an interesting reaction with the barrier, and worst case scenario it wouldn't be stuck since he can unsummon his ships. Probably not the best idea to test it in the current situation though.
