This chapter is rather wholesome. Intense, sure but that's due to them being faceless. But they definitely just want to protect and keep the peace with the humans. And the fact that Miko gave them offering really made it all the better. And never did I though we'd see her dad talk to another living person. Something tells me he can finally talk with someone freely.

It's confirmed/answered in this chapter. He can hear them and understand them. He can't see them. Meanwhile, Miko can see them, and hear them, but can't understand their speech/language (Like the hearing version of how Mitsue and Yulia have fuzzy vision).

Eating really late and afraid of weight gain? I recommend in-room weights! An exercise bench for $60 and dumbbells of your choosing and you can do a lot of workouts. Incline bench press, dumbbell fly, incline hammer curl, sit-ups (if it’s an adjustable bench with foot support poles), dumbbell row, shoulder press, reverse dumbbell fly, pullover, tricep extension, skullcrushers, shrugs, incline forward tricep raise, and so many more!
I also recommend standing when possible, so standing desks.

I believe everyone in the world has equal power, but that power is divvied up in specific ways - most of the worlds population are immune to ghosts/yokai whatever, but that means we can't interact with or see them in any form.

Then for the people that can, depending how much they specialize, other things get downgraded and Miko is just unlucky.

Character examples -

Romm is fairly powerful against them - but for being that good, means he can't see them very well (he says its like looking at glass window and seeing a faint reflect) but is completely susceptible to what they can do to him.

Mitsue feels more like an all rounder - she is decently strong, can see them better than most, and doesn't get affected by them on the level of Romm or Miko.

Seto - is extremely powerful vs them and doesn't seem to be able to be affected by them. He can't see them but can hear them.

Miko - Can see them extremely clearly, can hear them very well (although she doesn't speak the language, but that may be a skill issue) and they can interact with her as if she exists on their plane too, luckily they have to know she is for them to do anything to her. Problem is, all her "stat points" went into that, so she is utterly useless fighting them.

Yuria - lesser version of Miko, she can see them sort of and hear them, as well as see Auras, but because its so much less than Mikos, she is practically immune to the interactions since she is like.. barely into the esper territory

Of course outliers I really cant explain, Michiru and being possessed, Hana's spirit being so strong that it can replenish life force or being used as a kind of food.

I think the idea is that Miko's ability to see is so strong that she can see every ghost's form super clearly which is scary in detail. People with weaker ability can only see in less detail, so like, more shadowy or silhouetted version, which would make any of the ghosts she see considerably less scary, some even might look cute (e.g, the smol creatures). But obviously this put people with half-assed ability, like her one classmate, in danger, because they see the spirit world as less dangerous than it should be considered.

This bodes, I don’t know if it bodes well but it definitely bodes a lot.

Yeah. Feels like the chapter sets up a bunch of dominoes. But we have no idea which way the author will kick them.

MIB seem helpful and not threatening, but I wouldn't be surprised if the author suddenly turned that around, and they became a major threat. Or... Simply by being so helpful, Miko could get trapped into following their lead all the time, and so lose her agency.

The safer alternative is that one or more of them become Miko's guards (e.g. after Seto "unfortunately" kicks it).

Of course, there's a question of "What the heck are they?"

Most of the time the ghosts in this story can’t do shit to people who are not aware about their existence.
It’s like both side have to be aware of the mutual understanding to create the connection needed. That’s how usually they can’t touch Miko as long as they thought she can’t see them.

So, Seto would be safe from most of the ghosts unless they’re the kind that bring misfortune, accidents, or death.

Seto did say he is also “taking risk” by letting the MiB become Miko’s bodyguard.

Maybe he would die in this arc (dramatic sacrifice?) and Miko inherits the MiB.
Or even, he is discussing about this possibility with Miko’s dad, such as to accept the MiB when the time arrives.
