I hadn't noticed, but her aura is actually lethal to the ghosts or spirits or whatever "they" are, it's just a trade-off where she gets hungry when a spirit touches her, like the small one when it was thrown and practically cooked.
Well it's pretty clear all those spirits she attracts kind of like eat her energy or something ? The thing got burned and the big monster is using her as a grill so it's also some sort of barrier, but it's more like the thing is protecting her just so it can eat more and if she loses her function she'll also be gobbled up.
Welp one thing is for sure Hana sure is cute.
Miko also sure loves her she must have noticed already Hana attracts all types of weird shit but she still sticks by her.
Anyone notice the first time that ghost used Hana to cook the other ghost to eat it ? the next page shows Hana being hungry and at the same time the aura around her kinda weakened (That's how I see it) then on the same page, she eats and the aura kinda goes back to life again......is this what I think this is ?
hana's such a fake im over here surviving off cucumbers and sumac meanwhile shes eating everything she sees... extremely resentful rn... want that metabolism...
The design of Hana's big ghost seems to be from much older times (it is wearing a kimono, looks kinda like a samurai). It's probably lived for so long so it's way more powerful than the little malicious ones. I'm guessing at this point it's more than just a ghost. It'll be in line with Japanese folklore where very old objects become benign monsters, so maybe a very old and powerful samurai's spirit is becoming a guardian!? Plus it seemed to be saying something
