@givemersspls They cannot do too much harm but they can still do a bit, Hana felt lighter after Miko got rid of the ghost who was using her like an oven, to many ghosts can probably do significant harm and their curses can probably have some effect.

Holy shit. Bravo. This mixture of genuine fear/horror and dark humor really makes this unique. And our protagonist is literally courage the cowardly dog. In an incredible dangerous, terrifying, and life-threatening situation, but fights with all her heart to stay steady, and keep her friend/family safe.

@givemersspls The ghosts do have subtle effect on people they haunt who can't see them. Hana feels them as an energy drain and a "weight". The joke is that she can replenish her spiritual energy easily with food. For less powerful, normal people, the energy drain could result in exhaustion and depression. Some people (like numbers granny) the haunting results in a crippling obsession. If enough ghosts haunt a place (like the horror building) then it becomes a danger zone regardless. Basically, under a certain threshold being haunted isn't that big of a deal if you're a muggle but you'll feel the effect anyway.
