I mean, does it ring any alarm bells for you that this specific ethnic category of character basically only shows up in milsim GWOT larp manga? I think Japanese mangaka just see middle eastern people as a necessary aesthetic accent for modern guerilla warfare stories. This is like the 5th time Ive seen this, and I still havent seen any other comparable representation in a modern setting.
Why is it only these stories?
