This entire comment section is full of autistic weirdos who can’t behave like normal people. It’s kinda pathetic

Damn, kitty, stand up for your man. What a troublesome brother.
This guy def is a siscon. Still though, good on him for keeping tabs on her, esp how dangerous it is. Also I KNEW something was going to happen, the moment he left her alone. Just keep her under your shirt or some shit.

I mean leaving everything that sick siscon just said aside, he isn't wrong in Natsume being unreliable and indecisive, since he kept going in circles not knowing anything about her and quite literally just seeing/treating her as cat most of the time 🙄

And he didn't really try to learn anything about her so far
I mean, considering she just suddenly decided to live and freeload off him (he only let her in because she was a cute cat) I can't place too much blame on him, since he was practically thrown into the whole situation. That being said, they got into this situation partially because of his irresponsibility (getting lost on the trail, not figuring out that she was sick earlier, not charging his phone, leaving her alone at the shelter).

Also, I don't blame him for not knowing much about her. He only knew as much as Mio is willing to share. Like we all already learned, you can't tell Mio what to do.

Everyone's expectations of him is unreasonably high. Sure if it were his family, he should've been more careful, but they've literally met 2 weeks prior.

A simple, but fatal, flaw in brother's logic: Only he could track Mio so easily. Anyone else, including the person they mentioned, would have it much more difficult to find and approach them.
In short, brother was on "cheat mode" in that regard. And blames the MC for the result.
I mean... Quite literally he kidnapped her lmao. He forced the situation upon them, I suppose as a "test", but a completely unfair one. He wouldn't have had a chance if she had taken the gps tracker off.

Ikr, it felt so satisfying that the brother said all of that. Like bro, at least learn something about her not keep silent and talking to yourself!
Bruh. U don't remember him trying to kick her out, not to mention they literally met 2 weeks ago as a stray cat. He only knows what she was willing to share. Slowly but surely, he is warming up to the idea of having her around, you bozos act like she's his daughter or something.

He wasn’t wrong, but he didn’t have to be such a dick about it
His silly idea of a "test", kidnap a defenceless cat, and blame the owner. Hilarious. It's like a thief stealing your car, and blaming you for it. Even if the doors were unlocked, he still chose to commit a crime and steal the car. Don't act so high and mighty.

I'm still bothered by the exact nature of what they are, and how they live their lives. Are they cat people, Or people cats? What's this about having owners AND also going to school? What is any of this.

EDIT: And now this chapter talks about choosing to either be a cat or a human. Like these are perfectly equivalent options. "Hey, you could use the of the internet... ooooor you could knock stuff off a table all day!"
Don't mean to be rude, but if you actually read the text, and not just looked at the cute cat girls, it was all explained at one point or another.

(Before u read ahead, this is anime/manga logic, so try not to make sense of it lmao)
---

What are they?
____________________

Basically the cat girls need to smash (manga logic) before they become adults, otherwise they will be cats forever. Basically up until they become adults, that is the point of time they get to decide whether they want to be a human or cat. The whole cat girl thing is super rare, and it hasn't been explained how they became cat girls to begin with, I suppose its more like a rare condition than anything.

Why she isn't in school?
____________________
She is taking a break from school to hide and run away from her aforementioned stalkers / kidnappers (cuz who else doesn't want a real life cat girl for themselves).

How do they live their lives?
____________________
Seeing how Mio's sister (also a cat girl) still goes to school and lives a normal life, you can kind of put 2 and 2 together. Mio is an outlier, in that she does whatever the fuck she wants. She had multiple "owners" before she had decided to stay with him. They transform during dawn and dusk, and eat food like any living being.

comment section wilding again. average age of the people here must be 15
I'm not surprised, everyone acting like they iron man, when in reality none of them have ever gotten into a fist fight. Half these kids have never cared for a pet, nor have they rescued a stray.

That ain't a siscon. That's a brother who really cares. Yall forget that Mi-Chan was kidnapped BEFORE. He has the right to be paranoid af. Natsume also mostly just sees her as a cat for most. Not much question on who she is overall and why she's like that. It does bring the question on who he really is as a person as well. 27 y/o and still working in a convenience store with not much mention on his hobby or his dreams. This just shows Natsume has a lot more to grow, and I'm excited for that honestly
Bro talking about, "he has the right to be paranoid"... You do realize, he also tracked her by GPS and kidnapped her (against her will). If she had taken off the collar, he would have no leg to stand on.

If someone kidnaps your sister, and then blames you for not watching over her better, IM SURE you would think that's absurd too.

Also I don't see the point in attacking his character. You saw who he was at the start of the manga, he was the manager for a supermarket. By no means was he a confident or successful guy, but I don't see what's wrong with that. You decide how you want to live your life. If your mother raised you as a single mother, but she worked a cleaning job or as a cashier, does that give someone the right to question her choices in life?

Nah I can't support that. When you got a character that's the type to ACT out the kidnapping situation and be like "imagine if I wasn't her brother" homie until the confirmation you WERE. you weren't ANY better cause of this and thats STILL kidnapping (as far as the people who know it's a human he took cause otherwise it's cat napping and that's another can of worms added).

Iori does gotta get his act together but in the situation that someone barged in somewhere, being underage and bumming it at his place and withholding information about how the cat stuff works he really wasn't doing THAT bad.

Sides I've been for ditching her and going for the cat cafe manager anyway. Realistically, no problems (y)

Thanks for the chapter.
RIGHT, FINALLY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS... Like bro. U KIDNAPPED HER. YOU ARE A KIDNAPPER, bro projecting about his fears.

Also yeah, he Iori def needs to get his shit together, if you love her, then do better to make sure she is safe. The only thing I don't like is everyone placing the blame on him, when just 2 weeks ago he was just an ordinary supermarket manager with no real life goals, and she was a stray cat that wandered into his home. She was only willing to tell him what she was comfortable with, don't expect him to interrogate her when she chose to not tell him about the whole turning into a cat permanently as an adult thing.

Bit of mixed feelings with this one. Big bro has a point. Iori doesn't have much ambition and is not assertive. With the context that there is a danger out there towards Mio, that is definitely a cause for concern for Mio's safety.
However, just remember that Iori only ever found out about the dangers on that very day. And ultimately, Mio chose to stay with Iori and not her brother. So I think that says a lot about her living condition under him. And even with no talents, skills or hobbies, he still made Mio happy. I think that should count for something.
I mean yeah, not entirely surprised, she doesn't want to stay with someone who would keep her under lock and key 24/7. It's bad enough that he had to kidnap her to prove his moot point. We can't act surprised, when we literally saw a peek into his life at the start of the manga. How are we suddenly shocked, that he's an absolutely average person, living an average life. All this shit was thrown upon him 2 weeks ago, and he's only learning about it now.

Exactly. Most people if they had a younger sibling they genuinely cared about wouldn't act much different irl. 'Siscon' has got nothing to do with it.
Yeah, cuz u'd def put a gps tracker on ur sister and kidnap her to prove a point. Do you even think about what u type lmao.
