The original fate/stay night is the probable best work of the probable best visual novel author of all time. Everything past that Nasu didnt personally write since they vehemently hate work but they at least oversaw the script for.

I think Nasu only recently retired from overseeing the script for Go. Anyway read the OG VN

As a caveat, the uh...sex scenes in F/SN are terrible, like generationally, memetically bad. To the point where its generally assumed Nasu either had them ghost written or was taking the piss. The only reason theyre in there is because self-published non-eroge visual novels from relative no names in a time where you had to sell your software physically at conventions would get less than zero attention.
