Okay, googled it and saw some states do charge tax on food (assuming United States). I live in a state that doesn't, so I thought the notion was absurd.I assume the total includes sales tax... But, anyway, the silver half-dollar was discontinued a while after it was no longer all or mostly silver. Now the copper penny is discontinued a while after it is no longer all or mostly copper. Somewhere out there, CoinStar is making absolute bank.
