Even as America and Japan have their significant cultural differences, it's still heartening to know that they also have sub/dub debates overseas as well. (Im assuming Mimi is Japanese, but it's never explicitly stated.)

"I know how to speak the Japanese language"

"No you don't"

"oh yes I do! I can do it real good, so good infact I would fill in for Japanese singers , Like that time I filled in for word renowned Vocaloid Hatsune Miku"

To be fair, if people were going to start having tastes at any point, it would have prevented such crossovers like Peter Griffin in Fortnite.

Let's just let Mimi have her Memes.

Lucky she's the gal who...

It says cultural exchange but where's the exchange?
Looks like Mimi (whom I think is from the west) is looking at her Peter Griffin figurine and on the top panel it looks like there's a stereotypical otaku looking at their Miku figurine.
Or is it trying to say that these two examples are roughly equal in terms of popularity and memes (at least for Mimi)? Or did I miss something? :thonk:
Yes. I assume the top panel is a Western otaku, not a Japanese one.

The King of the Hill Japanese dub is great, but the Boondocks Japanese dub is awesome!
