As far as I know, the meaning of it is that it has no meaning. The fun they have is saying it as a reply to people who doesn't understand it, or push the joke to its limits by repeating it everytime someone sees or say 6-7. The best comparison I can think are people reacting to random messages with the Pregnant_Man emoji.
