On my first trip to amsterdam we found out that coffeshops were where you got weed (and also coffee) and cafes were bar/clubs. I'm not sure where you were supposed to go if you just wanted coffee without a bunch of stoned tourists around. At one point we were as high as we were going to get and decided we wanted to go out for some drinks. So we asked some locals where we could find a good cafe and accidentally triggered a shouting match between them about whether we really meant "cafe" or "coffeeshop."

Shame tipping culture isn’t rly a thing in Japan he’s prolly in need of a lot

in the us tipping means that they don't have to pay the waiters minimum wage

Yeah I read that employers in the US are able to count the tips as credit to employee wages, so at payday the total received by an employee is still the federal minimum wage but the employer obviously spent less. There are two sides to everything, eh.
