Both of them are thinking of intensely bloody futures. Krone feels like she has a more solid gameplan in mind, but it's not exactly different from certain warlords eventually stabbing their generals in the back.

If Tanya is the silver fighting against god, Mitsuba is the silver that houses a god. Oddly enough, both of those gods desire chaos and calamity.

Annoyed that she didn't push the magecraft lessons thing (I get that it fits her character, but it didn't fit the story's flow or other character's characters). She was asked what she wanted to do and assured she could pick anything, but when she comes to school she's told that the only interesting subject was forbidden? And the guy additionally knew how important it was to not upset her? And still wanted to die on that hill? Similar stuff for how weird it was that ppl wanted to forbid her from the noble section, or wanted to bully her when all rumors said such a thing was a darwin award, or even reprimanded her when she was attacked. Again, feels like noone is acting in accordance to their knowledge or fears.

Similarly annoyed at how everyone believed she killed the father, when it was quite obviously poison. And that we never got her to ask why they thought she absorbed souls when she killed the maid by "giving them souls instead" (as she put it).

Other than that, the story seems a bit interesting. I do always love fucked up mc's

That researcher seemed like she's trying to pull Mitsuba's latent magic inside her so she didn't say anything else to the school even if she told Mitsuba that she could choose any course. She wanted an incident to happen. In the same vein, her step-mother is pulling strings which is why the headmaster tried to recommend the navy. It's to kill Mitsuba in a "sailing accident".

This is a boarding school and we've seen that bitch's sons absent at that event. It wouldn't be surprising if the information is repressed at the school so as to also not tarnish her son through association. "Misfortune follows that family" or so the saying goes.

Her father already has deteriorating reputation coming from him pulling all resources to keep Mitsuba alive. His attention is focused on her that his bitch wife took over most of the relations he could've built. So when the poisoning happened, the girl born through experimental methods became easier to swallow than poison. It's the most convenient explanation that bitch would come up with. That researcher went and lied to Mitsuba though, we've yet to see why.

No, he was very well aware that displeasing her was suicide. His internal monologue basically said exactly that. Yes he seemed part of a conspiracy to arrange an accident, but he also knew he should not be limiting her from her desires. Besides, it would've been easier to arrange a "magic accident" than "sailing accident"

I suppose that is possible.

No. I do believe that ppl believed the rumors. But the death itself was quite clearly poison (directly after drinking a wine from a cup, he throws away the cup, he clutches his throat, his face goes blue, and when he realizes he will die his first reaction is to finalize the inheritance declarations to not favour the wife that hates him?). That is why it was odd that ppl didn't think it was.

While that is an option, the fact remains that her magic is unknown. The method in which her father used seems to be percieved as dark magic and there's a lot of downsides to letting her in the magic course that's just not her magic. Her sons being shown up or getting mysteriously killed. Her step-mom didn't know how Mitsuba could kill so many of her jailors so there's also that.

Could just be they were in cahoots. While there will be those who quietly saw and know the poisoning, they now have to play along because she's now the defacto head of the family. It's one of the 12 families that support the kingdom. Rocking it just at that moment could have some unintended consequences. That bitch still did need proof that her son was acknowledged through the fake scepter(or wand). There's also Mitsuba's dead guards and the tower of death so it's pretty hard to use Mitsuba in a succession trial approach. Conventional wisdom tells me there will be a noble that would be sympathetic to this doll so as to gain rapport to the soon to be cursed mage.

I'm pretty sure the ultimate cause of death would've been the poison in the wine, however, I'm wondering if Mitsuba knew that he was suffering horribly while he was dying and just merely quickened the slow death and "put him out of his misery"....

People being reincarnated as a bloodthirsty loli is becoming a common trope. The saga of Tanya or a new one: nia liston are great example

That was one heck of a long chapter. Looks like she is making some friends and things are coming along fine. Thanks for the translation

Given how he obsessed he was on 'reviving' mitsuba i'm surprised he even had a second wife (unless she was a concubine or arranged marriage with a noble family his parents got along with lol)
Suspicious. This FMC and everyone around her. I think they are all evil.
I don't necessarily think Krone(?) is 'evil' but i'm sure she has her own ambitious , athough given her 'fancy' name i'm surprised she wasn't a noble unless she's from a diff country/wasn't 'high' enough on the ladder/hierarchy but too lazy to go back and check the details
