Yooo. This chapter was great. I love how, from a different perspective, the step mother's speech could be seen as a hero speech before going to fight the big evil. In a different universe they're a bunch of heroes, rallying together to try and fight the demon that took over their step daughter/sister.

From a crusader kings perspective, the step-mother is completely correct. She married a dude she never grew to love and successfully sired two sons who should've rightfully inherited, but her husband went completely insane and kept a corpse of a daughter alive for ten years... then the corpse suddenly came to life, seemingly possessed by some evil immortal demon of massacre.
