That said, I'd say this is only NTR if you 1: consider it to be the case anytime you have a guy with any feelings for the girl where the girl shows some awareness of the guy in return and 2: you consider any kind of story in which the girl has had sexual encounters with others. I say that because for the first, it is explicit that Miya does not have a relationship with Onodera or anyone else. He slowly develops a crush on her through the series born from lust, and she is somewhat aware of him due to the knowledge of his sexual desire, and the whole thing suggests there might be some potential, but that potential is entirely unrealized. Additionally, while it has Miya having sex and continuing to, it makes it clear that she has no serious connections with any of her partners. To her, they are food and a source of pleasure, nothing more. This is the problem with stories involving succubi: whether they are in a relationship or not, they are typically going to need an amount of satisfaction that one man cannot provide. If the story continued, she may yet one day decide to pursue a serious relationship or realize she's fallen in love, but given her nature this would require she either find someone with inhuman levels of stamina who's willing to spend most of his waking hours feeding her, find someone who will believe her and accept that while she'll bang tons of men all the time she'll only make love to him, or struggle with the pain of keeping it a secret from her lover. Given the content, it would be one of the latter two.

Maybe something like a manga I briefly came across once, where a guy was dating a small succubus but felt heartbroken because she was always sleeping with other men, even bringing them to their place. She has to repeatedly tell him that if she only eats from him or even just two or three she'll end up putting someone in the hospital or worse, thus why she has to have many "meals" a day. And the story also ends with him getting attacked by hunters for harboring a demon, at which point she puts her life on the line to destroy all the hunters out of fear of losing the only man she truly loves. In short, it's a situation where you simultaneously have a girl who is deeply devoted to the man she loves and one who out of necessity sleeps around more than the heroine of Karami Zakari. Whether the story would proceed in this direction or to simple heartbreak as she abandons the very idea of romance and just succs every boy she can, likely even including him, may never be revealed.

Either way, it's certainly a hard read with a painful end if you feel any investment in Onodera's relationship with her.

I went and looked again, and I didn't see any of these "lines" being described, so honestly I don't know what is meant there. And she didn't say nothing happened when she met back up the next day. She said she was sorry she just went ahead and slept, or maybe kept sleeping. But Japanese also uses the word "sleep" to mean having sex or simply lying on one's back. And while she may be open with her clients, that doesn't necessarily mean she's ready and willing to tell everyone. That'd be like saying if a girl was into enjou kousai and was really bold with her "daddies" and others who do the same thing as her then there should be no reason why she wouldn't brag about it to her school friends, including the males.

As for her "lacking dominance", the story seems to be about her gradually learning and changing. And regardless, it seems like rather than being "dominant" or "submissive", in bed she aims to be what her "client" desires or what is going to excite them most. With guys who need a more assertive girl, she's dominant and demanding of their "contributions". With a guy who likes dominating "pets", she's a submissive kitty who loves master's milk. Gradually he could become a sort of representative of a "normal" life with a boyfriend, and thus instead of just awakening to sexuality she becomes seriously torn between the two worlds.

I don't know, this story is indeed clearly just meant to be fanservice with some mild hints of NTR. But like with so very many hentai and borderline series I've seen over the years, I can't help but think a little more serious look could open up a very interesting and engaging story. As I said, I'd enjoy a story about a guy dating a succubus or half-succubus who can't stop doing it with other men but really is in love with and devoted to him, or one where a girl, succubus or just plain slut who loves draining the men around her, finds herself torn between the "fun" of a casual lifestyle and the warmth of real love. There are at least a few out there where a girl starts as a slut but turns pure, but to my knowledge none of those go the angle of the girl actually enjoying that lifestyle or choosing between the pleasures of casual sex and a real romance; they all just have the girl turn out to be playing the slut because she doesn't think any guys will love a girl that doesn't put out.

But we don't see her interact with those friends afterward at all. We only see her talk for a moment with Onodera, and regardless of what she'd say to fellow succubi or friends she knows live similar lifestyles, I doubt she'd say anything more than that she slept to that guy. Like I said, there's a difference between what she can say to people that are part of that world and casual acquaintances or friends that don't know anything.

I do agree it might be interesting to have her still be on the fence about going that far though. Just find it very hard to buy as a possibility. Still, you're right we should let them finish the translation.

I think the scene where the other three girls and childhood friend go out to see fireworks while she stays with gyaru dude doesn't leave much room for interpretation: he smashed.

It's so hard to say because the Japanese word for dream keeps popping up during the scene, but not in the fireworks part. So she gave him a dream after he passed out, but then the writer couldn't decide or something? Then in the final panel she seems to imply both that there's no going back but also she got her 10 and is done? Anyone with better Japanese language skills out there to help with translation or was he really in such a rush that he couldn't decide?

What follows is the sex scene that everyone seems to be getting worked up about. So that's whole sequence is a dream. Unclear on whether her friends oral scene was part of the dream or reality. So she didn't do it....

However! The next day he wakes up and talks about the dream. They kiss and he strips her, gets between her legs, and then we don't know. Scene skips to fireworks going off and she's sucking him off while the friends are noting that she didn't show up. (Insert pun about her finding the fireworks beautiful as she watches Johny Neto cum). They don't show or reference any penetrative sex, but I mean she was with him from morning until the fireworks went off, so draw your own conclusion.

Final scene she is talking about the world of being a succubus and how you can't really go back. Cue her flirting with an jii-san and random final page sex with random.

Instead, it goes straight from her seeing Onodera at the door to her closing the door, making out with the guy, and getting to it. So yeah, at the bare minimum she got in position and welcomed him to have sex with her and finish inside without protection. Could be that he passed out immediately after she said that, since we indeed aren't shown the penetration, but that seems to stretch the wishful thinking a bit thin.

As for the "pet" thing, I agree it's obviously a play sort of thing. Like you said, she's a predator. She'll tolerate things she doesn't like or fully embrace submissive roles if it means she can get a target to put out, and this indeed includes taking either side of a dom/sub or sadomasochistic relationship. That guy likes to dominate and treat his partner like his pet or toy with whom he can do anything he wants, so once she caught onto that she happily embraced that role. I've seen a few NTRs like this unfortunately, where a boy and girl are both shown to have budding crushes they don't fully recognize on each other only for some sort of sexual encounter with someone else (often forceful or via blackmail) causes both to recognize their feelings while making it difficult to impossible for them to pursue those feelings (the girl feels guilty or desperately wishes that at least that boy doesn't find out, or maybe wishes he was there to save her, while the boy is screaming "get your hands off my (insert name)!"). I would call such a story NTR. This treads the boundary, as from his side he's just realizing he's in love while she's being taken to a place he can't reach her and other girls are taking advantage of his disturbed state to pressure him into just fantasizing about her while they have their fun, and from Miya's side she's clearly feeling guilty and uncertain but basically comes to the final decision to opt for the pleasure of the succing life over the joys of a normal life. I've also seen similar works that don't reach this point. Like, a guy likes a girl who clearly doesn't see him as anything more than a friend, and when he sees her she's clearly in a willing mutual relationship, and he ultimately chooses to accept an offer from a girl who says she thinks he's hot and at least wants to do it if not date. Something like that isn't NTR to me, though it's still similarly painful and frustrating. As for this one, as I've said before it treads the boundary while exhibiting a dynamic that I would have loved to see explored further. I can only hope we'll get a sequel where he actually does see Miya having sex, finds out about her nature, and deals with all the problems inherent in liking and/or dating someone like that.

Oh, and the line she gives at the end when he tells her to look at how pretty the fireworks are is quite blatant: "Yeah... It's white, and stinky, and incredibly beautiful...<3"

Instead, it goes straight from her seeing Onodera at the door to her closing the door, making out with the guy, and getting to it. So yeah, at the bare minimum she got in position and welcomed him to have sex with her and finish inside without protection. Could be that he passed out immediately after she said that, since we indeed aren't shown the penetration, but that seems to stretch the wishful thinking a bit thin.

As for the "pet" thing, I agree it's obviously a play sort of thing. Like you said, she's a predator. She'll tolerate things she doesn't like or fully embrace submissive roles if it means she can get a target to put out, and this indeed includes taking either side of a dom/sub or sadomasochistic relationship. That guy likes to dominate and treat his partner like his pet or toy with whom he can do anything he wants, so once she caught onto that she happily embraced that role. Honestly, first time I went through it I myself misinterpreted it as him getting full control to the point that she'd basically permanently submitted to him and gone from a predator draining any prey she could find to a pet begging for Master's milk, but looking back it's quite clear that she really was just enjoying that role while consuming her target, whom she abandoned once she was done.

Part of why there's so much debate is because the girl does seem to have some feelings toward Onodera. At the least she's interested in him in a way that's sexual or romantic but somewhat distinct from her targets. I've seen a few NTRs like this unfortunately, where a boy and girl are both shown to have budding crushes they don't fully recognize on each other only for some sort of sexual encounter with someone else (often forceful or via blackmail) causes both to recognize their feelings while making it difficult to impossible for them to pursue those feelings (the girl feels guilty or desperately wishes that at least that boy doesn't find out, or maybe wishes he was there to save her, while the boy is screaming "get your hands off my (insert name)!"). I would call such a story NTR. This treads the boundary, as from his side he's just realizing he's in love while she's being taken to a place he can't reach her and other girls are taking advantage of his disturbed state to pressure him into just fantasizing about her while they have their fun, and from Miya's side she's clearly feeling guilty and uncertain but basically comes to the final decision to opt for the pleasure of the succing life over the joys of a normal life. I've also seen similar works that don't reach this point. Like, a guy likes a girl who clearly doesn't see him as anything more than a friend, and when he sees her she's clearly in a willing mutual relationship, and he ultimately chooses to accept an offer from a girl who says she thinks he's hot and at least wants to do it if not date. Something like that isn't NTR to me, though it's still similarly painful and frustrating. As for this one, as I've said before it treads the boundary while exhibiting a dynamic that I would have loved to see explored further. I can only hope we'll get a sequel where he actually does see Miya having sex, finds out about her nature, and deals with all the problems inherent in liking and/or dating someone like that.

Oh, and the line she gives at the end when he tells her to look at how pretty the fireworks are is quite blatant: "Yeah... It's white, and stinky, and incredibly beautiful...<3"

The TLDR is it was a dream sex scene, but.....

Ok, my Japanese isn't the greatest, but in regards to her actions with Johny Neto in the final arc there the events happen like this:

He fingers her until she comes then he passes out. She then says she's gonna give him a dream, like she's been doing throughout. What follows is the sex scene that everyone seems to be getting worked up about. So that's whole sequence is a dream. Unclear on whether her friends oral scene was part of the dream or reality. So she didn't do it....

However! The next day he wakes up and talks about the dream. They kiss and he strips her, gets between her legs, and then we don't know. Scene skips to fireworks going off and she's sucking him off while the friends are noting that she didn't show up. (Insert pun about her finding the fireworks beautiful as she watches Johny Neto cum). They don't show or reference any penetrative sex, but I mean she was with him from morning until the fireworks went off, so draw your own conclusion.

Final scene she is talking about the world of being a succubus and how you can't really go back. Cue her flirting with an jii-san and random final page sex with random.

Worth noting from thematics and linguistics: the title specifically uses Kyuuin, the word for sucking or smoking rather than a katana spelling of the English succubus. That leads me to believe the intent is that her hymen remains intact and all collection was by dream and oral. Further, her name uses the kanji for "beautiful night", going back to the theme of her making dreams. This is traditionally how a succubus works anyway.

There was also a part I didn't quite get where he looks at her underwear and mentions a "gomu" or rubber. This might be referencing something was erased or be a reference to using a rubber. I'm not sure.

Also worth noting for those talking about her becoming a "pet". This is false. She is a predator, both literally and figuratively. She adapts to what her prey find attractive and uses that to "feed" on them. Her smug face with all the "roses" at the end kinda spell that out.

As for NTR, depends on what you count as netorare. She wasn't with the other guy, no promises were made (except the fireworks) and he was literally also getting head from her friend. At worst, she is a bad friend that broke a promise to hang out to "feed" instead.

There are some distinct signs when it's a dream. In particular, the flowers. The night was explicitly a dream, first shown through the guy falling asleep right after he finished fingering her, and second through the flowers in the dream she said she'd give him. The day after, immediately after Onodera showed up at the room and she promised to meet at the fireworks, there were no flowers anywhere and no signs of unconsciousness, just straight to business.

And I'm sorry, but I'm not going by machine translations, I don't use them because I don't need to. The nighttime one, she didn't play the role well enough even though she liked being messed with forcefully and the guy got bored and went to sleep, so as vengeance for him not "punishing" her enough she decided to succ him in his dreams. During the dream, after the first time finishing inside, he says "Ah, warii. Ii wasureteta. Ore gomu tsukenai shugi dakara" which translates as "Ah, sorry (or my bad). I forgot to tell you. I never wear rubbers by principle."

Then in the morning Onodera tried to get her to head out but she claimed she was tired but would try to meet up for the fireworks. The moment the door closed she thought about how his numbers went up because she also showed him the dream, then went and sat down next to the guy. He commented that he had a weird dream the night before where he was doing an adult version of her. She suggests he might be backed up and he agrees before immediately starting to grope her. She asks for a kiss and after they French she tells him to stop smoking because he stinks of it. He strips her and then starts to tell her the same line: "Ah, souda. Ii wasureteta kedo ore yaru toki wa" which is quite blatantly "Ah, sorry I forgot to mention. When I do it..." and she immediately replies "...Un. Shitteru... Gomu... tsukenai shugi... nandesho?" or "...Yeah. I know... Rubbers... you don't wear them on principle... right?" Then she says "Miya wa Ukishima-san no petto dakara... suki na dake nakadashi shite ii kara ne <3" which translates as "Miya is Ukishima-san's pet, so... you can come inside as much as you want<3". The key here is "nakadashi" which simply combines "naka (interior, inside" with "dashi (expulsion, ejection, pouring out, you get the idea)" and if you know anything of the H side of things is explicitly and exclusively used to mean ejaculating inside whatever hole is being used, and when combined with the clear statement of not using rubbers it's clear where they're going. And again, this scene flows straight without halting from her talking to Onodera at the door to her getting stripped and telling him he can ejaculate inside her as much as he wants. So I'm sorry, I do think it might be interesting if she had failed or chosen not to, it's really all but explicit about how things went down.

Also, worth noting that Ukishima was lying when he said he never uses condoms, as demonstrated in an earlier scene where he's shown leaving Yanma in a room naked with a bunch of full condoms on top of her. My guess is he just realized she'd let him get away with it. And as for her willingness, I'd have to look back at how things work with succubi but I'd guess that a succubus is able to absorb all the semen without leaving any behind to inseminate her, meaning she can make sure not to get pregnant until she wants to.

Darn spell check! Lol. After rereading it is possible the whole end is one long delusion. Until the scene with her in the garden anyway. I'm thinking she's following the "Virgin loli succubus" trope (see Lilith from Darkstalkers). The fact that he uses the pun for sucking rather than just saying succubus seems to back this up for me. Guys fantasy was to "NTR the highschool friend romance " and she gave it to him to collect.

Also worth noting that I think the artist got cancelled, ran out of time and threw his own fantasy against the wall, logic be damned, to give us a whatever ending. Either way, she's for the streets now and he needs to accept his live interest literally needs to feed this way

I have to say, the funniest part of this to me at this point is all the headcanons trying to come up with a reason why Miya might not have actually gone through with the act she'd been trying to do the entire third volume. Even the attempt to define "kyuuin" as "obviously" referring to acts that fall short of actual sex, despite the fact that "extraction" is an extremely popular term for ANY act that causes semen to be ejaculated, from masturbation to sex. As for the "delusion until the garden" bit, this ignores her apologizing for failing to go the night before, clearly indicating that the promise to meet up was real. Frankly, it seems to fit the whole progression better to have her finally lose her virginity on that last day. The story starts out with her unwilling to even consider becoming a real succubus, progresses through her getting more and more hooked on the thrill of absorbing semen from men that jack to her, to her actively acting to get the semen and in the process learning her individual fetishes (by the end she's clearly determined that she prefers to be dominated), showing her become more and more desperate to get more and to go as far as she can, up to and including sex, and thus finishes with her managing to cross that final threshold. By losing her virginity to a target, she's fully come into her own as a succubus and embraced that lifestyle.

All that said, I do think the author originally intended to have more. It could be that he intended things to go the way they did in the story up to this point, but there's far too much hinting going on about her relationship with Onodera, as well as indications that her choices aren't entirely limited to either becoming a succubus or having a normal love. In fact, at one point after their night with Umi Aroma comments that she doesn't get "love" only for Miya to comment that her mother, the QUEEN of the succubi who has lived for centuries succing as many men as she could, had regularly told her that sleeping with someone you truly love is something very different and special. That line makes it pretty clear that the author intended, if the story had continued, to at least present an option for Miya to continue living as a succubus while in love with Onodera and having a very serious, deep relationship with him. And yeah, I think that would have been awesome. Of all the hentai I've seen with a guy in love with a succubus, all but one either have the succubus turn human (there're many series where a demon who falls in love becomes human) or make the guy some sort of superhuman semen machine that can produce more than enough to satisfy the girl on his own. It'd be cool to have some more hentai or erotica dealing with a relationship where the girl pretty much has to sleep around and the boy struggles to accept this while she in turn struggles to find ways to continuously prove that there really is a big difference between sleeping with him and draining other guys.

So essentially, they told him the axe was falling and gave him the choice of how to conclude it. Honestly, given this, I like how he ended it. It doesn't finish Miya's "training" I'm pretty sure, but it concludes her journey into accepting her nature and embracing the lifestyle (again why I think it also fits better plot-wise for that last bit to be her really losing her virginity). At the same time, it is substantially open-ended, to the point where it looks more like the end of an arc rather than the end of a story. On one hand, if he could somehow find a way to continue it, it would be very easy to just pick up where this left off. On the other hand, it indeed leaves things very open so people can write up their own headcanon conclusions.

I'm just going to stick with my headcanon continuation where later Onodera will see Miya having sex with a teacher or a senpai (or one of those random old dudes they met during the trip), maybe more than one, and confront her about it. This will lead to her struggling over whether to just claim she's a slut like Yanma or convince him that she's a succubus, and lead him to struggle whether to try and make his opposition a matter of morality or just admit he likes her and doesn't like seeing his crush screw every man but him. And since up until now it's been her personal inexperience and general opposition to the succubus life against the voices of fellow succubi who love their lifestyle and friends who somehow have even more indiscriminate sex, it will also lead to the first case of real, serious opposition, with her finally faced with an outside force that wants her to follow the human path and also gives her incentive in the form of a potential romantic future. Maybe even amp up the conflict by having her again skip out on a promise and get into a fight over it. Yeah, the publishers were really dumb to dump this series, it could have had a long and very entertaining story ahead for itself, on par with Sasha-chan at minimum.

Or, another possibility (sorry I just like coming up with potential alternate routes and continuations with stories that end too soon or in a way I dislike):

Miya continues going after guys and training her abilities when she finds a guy who's interested in her, only for his attitude to change when it becomes clear she's experienced. This frustrates her and makes her determined to succ him even if he's only interested in a pure, untouched fantasy. Aroma, recalling her anger at a conversation they had about her feelings toward Kai, the only guy she'd never been able to get and also recalling things Miya had shared about various things, comments on how different this is, suggesting that just like she saw something special between Aroma and the guy she kept trying unsuccessfully to succ, Aroma suspected something special between Miya and the one boy she refused to succ, noting that she excused it because he was so fixated on a virginal fantasy of her despite the fact that another boy with the same fantasy just makes her more determined to take him. She's uneasy and embarrassed at this, but for the moment just uses those feelings to further fuel her determination to conquer this boy. She dives in on her own for the first time to get a clue, and sees that the guy had a childhood friend that he liked. He started out seeing her as a brat with no sex appeal, then started jacking to her when he started to notice her growing but continued to think a brat like her had no experience, right up until he saw her with another guy. The experience upset him and he found himself rejecting her as well as any other girl he perceived as "used goods". That said, something about the memory looks off to Miya, so she does some more digging into said childhood friend and finds out that that encounter and any subsequent ones were done against her will, and it looks like the guy knows it. She then asks her mom and teacher for advice and finds a way to use her succubus powers on the rapist to torment and traumatize him, then dives into the boy's mind again disguised as his childhood friend to half berate him, half plead with him in order to get through to him that he shouldn't let past relationships change things, let alone things like that where she had no control. She struggles to convey to him that even if he can't be the first man who's "done" her, he can still be the first man to make love to her. After going through all this and managing to fix his relationship with his CF while getting her meal, she starts thinking back to Onodera. She sees clear similarities with that guy's relationship, except that in her case she always chose to have sex and thoroughly enjoyed it, and also reluctantly recognizes that any other guy jacking to her with fantasies about taking her first would've just made her want to either play the innocent role or surprise them with her skills. This leads to complications and possibly arguments, maybe leading to her pushing Onodera down and having her way with him, thus forcing him to see and accept what she is. The story could go many ways from there, from him distancing himself for some time to him trying to make her stay with just him to her accidentally draining too much and leaving him with no capacity for sexual or romantic thoughts, at which point she'd start desperately searching for a way to undo this so he can feel something for her again.

Yeah, if one just thinks a little bit beyond the simple matter of gratification, there are plenty of potential stories in a story like this one. I kind of like the idea above of a succubus trying to heal relationships while succing her targets and struggling to solve her own relationship problems. It's a pity the author never got a chance to really push forward with it. I'd definitely be down to see where he can go if he'd been allowed.

This is why I tend to prefer NTR video games over manga... because at least then there's the option of a "pure" ending. This should've definitely been a game instead of a manga.
