It's one of the signs, we are dealing with shitsekai slop. Besides other obvious signs like status screens, level exp, skills, appraisal, pathetic beta MC ...and of course slavery.

What, that's summoning not slavery? Shut up, there's no difference. It's used to skip story telling about finding and building trust with companions.

With how strong his current servant is, she could kill him in a blink of an eye, if she wanted to, even at level 1, from what I remember, I think you can't become a servant without wanting to be one, though I might be mistaken
