One of the many reasons why I did not like Shield Hero. We literally see the 10 year old (or younger, I'm not really sure how old she is) get a fully matured woman's body, and then she begins her never ending battle to seduce the MC. And then we get the giant chicken turn into a 5 year old loli who also wants his attention? I don't remember if he gets more lolis down the line, I'm pretty sure there was a tiny princess involved at some point.

What? Pedophilia? Grooming? Manipulation? It's okay to be open minded, I don't even dislike this kind of manga, but I'm not gonna pretend that the obvious red flag of a little girl being raised by a guy with a possible romantic ending is not eyebrow raising. It is what it is, some people can take it, some people can't. Some will celebrate the writing, others will be shocked and try to condemn it. But I'll be damned if I pretend it is something it's not. By the looks of it, some people can't take it so they voice their complains here, and some people can't stomach those complains so they insult and complain about said complains. It's a never ending cycle, and it's entertaining as hell to be part of it.

In no way did I read this 1st chapter as anything approaching grooming. Pages 23 - 25 shows the MC pretty clearly does not want to bath with Reina is only showing her how to bathe herself. Then on page 29, MC is not nude at all.

The nude scenes of Reina are a good way to show just how malnourished she is. Yes, it's the same typical nude bathing scene, but, it wouldn't look out of place during any other manga/movie where a character has been beaten to hell and back, and the story needs the audience to see just how abused the character is.

We'll have to wait and see what happens with future chapters, and how quickly the story grows Reina up before romance plays a part.
