That’s a bad example. Raphtalia only acted like a kid for the sake of certain gags, but acted very mature at key dramatic story moments which sets the more dominant tone for her. If a character is drawn and written to be mature, they aren’t a loli regardless of what’s listed on their character sheet. It’s the reverse of the 500 year old vampire loli trope.

I’m not trying to defend actual predators but I would like the logistics of this. First of all he say more than ten years, going from midieval standard he’s anywhere from 15 to 19, while she looks about 8 to 10 years. A nine year gap (at most) is definitely weird, but there have been worse in manga. Im not opposed to shower scenes. In fact I like em. Alot. Especially when used as a way to silently inform the audience about the characters past.
(example: if she has a magical tattoo or an identifying birthmark revealing that shes the long lost child hood friend. Or scars hinting to an abusive past)

Its just this one seemed suggestive in a way. Given that's a kid, I no likey. It could have been shorter or drawn differently and still manage to get the point across.
