★ After cutting legal ties with Guez, Clael takes Reina shopping for clothes. She initially refuses she says she doesn’t need new outfits and actually prefers wearing Clael’s clothes because his scent makes her feel safe.

★ After shopping, Clael runs into an old academy friend, Roywood Beren, now the captain of the city’s Military Police. Clael shares some “prior-life otome knowledge” and asks Roywood to investigate Guez Auster for suspected illegal drug trafficking.

★ As time passes under Clael’s care, Reina’s beauty shines. People start visiting the church not just to pray but to see her. News reaches Guez, who tries to buy Reina back with a much higher offer. Clael refuses. Guez then orders a crime group to kidnap her.

★ That night, someone bangs on the church door. It’s Tony, a local stone artisan, begging for help the Mionz family suddenly collapsed unconscious at home. Clael rushes there and tells Reina to lock the church and let no one in.

★ At the Mionz home, everyone’s unconscious they’ve been poisoned. Clael purifies the poison with magic but realizes it was a trap to lure him away and leave Reina alone. He sprints back but is blocked by two shady guys. Clael buffs himself (Strength Up / Defense Up) and defeats them. Normally priests/healers are physically weak, but Clael can buff himself and fight on the front line.

★ Back at the church, Reina is sleeping peacefully. Around her are the would-be kidnappers, all knocked out taken down by the teddy bear Clael gave her, which houses a guardian spirit that protects her.

★ After this, Guez Auster is arrested by the military police as his crimes finally come to light. Roywood apologizes to Clael because the slow investigation put Reina at risk.

🎓 Academy Arc

★ One day, while Reina and Clael are doing their usual church duties, a Cardinal from the central church shows up he’s responding to Clael’s letter that he found the Saintess. Clael feels it’s time for Reina to go to the central church and enter the academy, and informs the Cardinal.

★ Clael gets accused of not reporting sooner it’s been over five years since he found the Saintess and of exploiting her for personal gain. He swears to the Goddess and the Cardinal that he only wanted to raise and educate Reina so she wouldn’t be abused at the central church. This shocks the Cardinal swearing to the Goddess is sacred, and a priest who lies in such an oath loses their power.

★ Clael tells Reina the outcome: the church wants her at the central church and academy. He thought convincing her would be hard, but she agrees easily. Since Clael is a noble, Reina knows she can’t marry a commoner so she plans to earn the Saintess title and become a noble to marry Clael. She asks Clael to promise: if she finishes her Saintess duties and graduates, he’ll grant her one wish. (Yeah, obvious she wants to marry him.)

★ At the academy, Reina becomes famous for her beauty and brains. Some central-church priests get jealous and plan to punish her if she fails their lessons but she already masters everything, and her etiquette is noble-tier. Credit to Clael, who drilled her in education and divine skills.

★ On day one, Prince Eric Saincle falls hard and tries to keep Reina by his side. She rejects him flat. Also, Eric already has a fiancée from a duke’s house.

★ Vincent Flame, son of the Knight Commander, offers to guard Reina, but she ignores him. When he reaches out to touch her, one of her Guardian Spirits (inside the teddy) decks him.

★ Will Rilace, the resident genius who’s always rank 1, sees Reina as his true rival and assumes she shares his ambition. In the exams, Will keeps rank 1 by laser-focusing on beating Reina, while Reina studies with her friends, teaches them, and boosts all their ranks.

★ Rui Biscuit, a prodigy musician (yeah, a bit of an oddball with shota vibes), tries to hug Reina calling her “onee-chan.” Before he can touch her bonk Guardian Spirit says no.

▼ Last scene

★ For summer break, Reina plans to go home. Eric warns her: Bardlus City (next to Eggbel City) has a disease outbreak. He tells her to wait three days for the royal knights to mobilize. She ignores him and asks him not to get in her way. Even with Eric, Vincent, Will, and Rui blocking her, she slips past and flies to Bardlus City.

★ Hearing about the outbreak, Clael heads out with Roywood to help. When they arrive, townsfolk look exhausted. Clael goes straight to the church where the local priest is swamped. He treats critical patients first and organizes triage tags, asking anyone still mobile to help carry others.

★ The “pandemic” turns out to be poison spread by monsters. Right after treatment starts, an urgent report hits: monsters are attacking. Clael runs to the city wall to check defenses.

★ The attackers are Arc Basilisks, monsters that spew poison to weaken enemies. They think the poison has softened the city enough and start the assault.

★ For days, the horde is held back thanks to Clael constantly healing wounded adventurers and guards. Then it changes: Arc Basilisk Powered shows up something that should only appear at the endgame. With a single body slam, it smashes the wall, sending Clael and the wall-guards tumbling under rubble.

★ Clael has almost burned through all his divine power. Just as despair hits, he hears a voice he knows by heart. A pillar of light drops from the sky Reina arrives, flying solo to save him.

★ The Powered Basilisk doesn’t die easily. Reina tries another strike fatal mistake. Below 50% HP, it triggers Poison Burst, causing a fiery explosion from the poison all around. Instinctively, Clael shields Reina, hugging her and taking the blast.

★ Reina looks up and sees Clael critical after saving her his back is burned so badly parts are basically ash. She spam-heals him to reduce the damage and pain, but he’s still unconscious.

★ Even as the Powered Basilisk charges, Reina only sees Clael. He’s her most precious person the one who always protected her: the apple pie, the bath, the healing, sleeping by her side, teaching her, saving her from her father. For Reina, Clael isn’t just a savior; her feelings go way deeper than simple love. Plenty of guys confessed at the academy, but only Clael makes her heart race only he fills that hole in her heart.

★ Reina apologizes, then kisses Clael and pours out how much she loves him. The Powered Basilisk nearby suddenly can’t move like it’s being barred from interrupting a sacred moment. Reina then triggers a new divine skill that should only appear in the final boss fight: Valkyrie Mode. Normally it activates when a Saintess and her partner openly share their love. Clael’s love for Reina is parental, Reina’s love is romantic different kinds of love, but mutual all the same.

★ In Valkyrie Mode, Reina defeats the Arc Basilisk Powered and saves the city. From then on, her name as the Saintess spreads far and wide. Clael also becomes known for saving townsfolk before Reina arrived.

Note: There’s another heroine, Erica Jarmy, Clael’s academy friend, now an A-rank adventurer. She’s liked Clael since school but never confessed. When they meet again, she tries to speak up only to get repeatedly blocked by Reina’s Guardian Spirit in the teddy bear Reina left to protect Clael while she’s at the academy.

She is the Messiah!

Ok but seriously... wow "angels", thanks soooooooooooooo much for being her "guardians" after she's already been starved, beaten, forced to live in filth, and abused by her father. I'm 100% sure these "angels" were not in the canon universe (without the MC "possessing" the reverend) where she got even more abused during her "training".

Better late than never I suppose. Perhaps they're making up for it, or more likely, it's because of the influence of the reverend, but this chapter just annoyed me.
There were spoilers related to what might be going on:

Apparently, she grows in power with her feelings or some such. So, because she is happy and loves the priest, she likely summoned them. Since the priest has zero clue how she powers up, he assumes the goddess is responsible.

What an adorable father-daughter relationship. Dote on her lots as her father, okay? Sure, taking her in as your daughter might mess with the plot, but who needs tragic backstories anyway? It'll be sad for papa when she grows up and leaves home, but such is the way of life.

...He should probably also investigate in town just in case there's any instance of disappearing meat or fish. Though those seem to be live fish, so maybe the spirits went out and directly collected them from nature.
