They do. The pages are some sort are plastic. I've seen some operations manuals that are supposed to be placed in hazardous environments like that. They are made so they are liquid and chemical resistant. I have no idea the cost to make that but I'm pretty sure it's pretty expensive.

I think it's more a case of occupational racism, she doesn't hate other races for being other races she hates certain traits of their respective race.
Kind of like how I'm the opposite of her in that I hate humans from my time working retail, animals were more well behaved than people most of the time.
