@arcsalvo That's actually a problem with automation that we're currently in the process of evaluating... and dreading.
There's a good video about it by CGPGrey, called "Humans need not apply". It adresses the automation-problem that's endangering human workforce. It posits that we are steadily approaching a point in time when more than 20-40% of people will be unemployed, simply because no jobs are left.
Logistics industry, for example, is currently a really big source of employment. (Goods need to be transported, after all.)
This industry might take a massive hit once self-driving trucks are established, because those trucks can drive 24/7, whereas regular humans are limited to 8-12 hours a day, depending on where you live. [Different countries have different regulations.]
