My guy, why would you pass up on the opportunity to incorporate the MC of the story into your group? I seriously thought he'd take the protagonist's side, bring him over and use their connections for future success. But I guess it's too much effort to actually try at...anything, really.

My guess is that he belives that only after much struggle will the protagonist's power truly come to light; much like you can't make a sturdy blade without striking the metal, you can't make an MC without struggles and difficulties, otherwise all of the people he would meet, the lessons he would learn and the chance encounters he would find would simply never come to pass.

Best he can do right now, is simply act sympathethic and let him grow on his own, just so that he doesn't have any bad impression of him in the future, so that when their paths cross again he can act properly friendly and gain a strong ally.

Guess I’ll read it till that happens. The fact that the author has such strict rules for the character as a sorta anti hero makes it mildly readable.

It's weird that Authors will come with interesting ideas to play with the Isekai formula (being a misogynist in this case), but then somehow always course correct and toe the line just a few chapter in.

Just have this guy absolutely hate women despite all the women throwing themselves at him because he's rich and a hero; why is he treating them like he would everyone else given the story's premise?

Like we could get a cool isekai series where a sci-fi space marine is isekai'd into hell (yes, this is a doom reference), only for hell to look like a European medieval world, demons to be goblins and wolves and stuff, and for there to be elves and other mystical races for some reason. Boo!

Iseaki really is a great plot set-up that feels like it isn't living up to anywhere near to its full potential... Well I'll keep reading the trash anyway because I have trash taste.

No, it's just that after the supposed infidelity Eagle shipped her off to the Empire and told everyone she killed herself. Or maybe she pretended to kill herself and moved to the Empire? I'm reading MTLs so it's not always easy to tell what exactly is happening.

It sounds like trouble to associate with the hero. What if there's a demon lord to defeat and all that nonsense? If you are the hero's friend, you are obviously expected to go along with him to the impossible battles. And then, as the extra dude in the party of a male hero and a bunch girls all in love with the hero, you just get killed in a dramatic fashion, so that the hero can shed a few tears on your corpse and swear to never give up before the demon lord is defeated.
