Actually the TL has come out of a coma in general, they stopped all projects for many months and started some up again with posting multiple chapters again. So it's not just this Manga, it's also other Manga that no one else has picked up.

He  could be a convenient side character that stumbles on the book that contains the legend explaining the heroes powers. I mean how many games have you played where the ditzy comic relief character just so happened to pick up the exact thing that the main character needed to figure out the mystery
