This felt like a huge over reaction, honestly. So MC didn't hear out the entirety of the noble's offer and then essentially threatened him in a big way. Sure he was being pushy, but given that MC never heard him out, I don't think he went overboard at any point, or at least to the extent of deserving what he got.
But at least he was killed or injured or anything, so it's not a huge deal, but they painted him as some plotting villain when he was just a misunderstood and somewhat pushy/selfish brat.
