i've never really understood the thing of like "oh no my butt looks big!!!" (or thighs in this case), it's like "oh no i posess attractive features this is horrible!" which makes no sense

It depends on whether you like having those features to begin with, or if you can come to appreciate those features because someone that you like likes those features.
