that'd be the case for SO MANY romcoms, but what's funny about these misunderstanding based romcoms are "how are they gonna screw up ?"
for now it is kinda funny (woke up the baby by laughing and got my face ripped)

The beginning of chapter 3 explains the MC's "denseness" and his lack of initiative. Not 100% convincing, to be honest, but at least the mangaka is trying to explain the common (and tired) trope and that's more than what most do.
