Maybe I don't look hard enough, but it is pretty hard to look for action fantasy manga with good romance subplot & without any harem.

I am glad this manga was one of them. The mangaka is also one of my favourite because he often put some good romance subplot and give it a lot of focus in his manga, alongside the distinct art styles.

At this point. Her dead in his hand in main game scenario probably because if she is get killed, she want the one who do it is him. He become Villain after that probably part of his guilt because he don't have any choice to save her.

I think you are missing the context that in this time. The MC trains his ability so he is able to change his fate.
In the original story at least we know that the person who starts this whole thing was King supporter who got refused the materials needed to save his only daughter. The situation is diffused out of the fact that the MC killed the monster that the hero faction nobles dropped on his village that nearly killed his father.

Also while not clear, it also seems that in the original storyline the MC looses his family due to the Hero faction trying to expand their influence. So alot of things changed thanks to the MC trying to not follow the original plot imo. Including the saint falling for him.

Also this my crack pot theory, but the reason why she is not romancable in the game. Has to be due to her family getting screwed by the hero faction.

There gave the answer several chapters ago. She's got a holy-element magic stone inside her, probably the only one available to the MC. If the original dude saw the threat coming, and decided he needed a demon slaying sword by any means necessary, it's just a matter of killing her. Not like he had a reputation that needed protecting. Of course, there's a chance it was done with consent.

The question is more about how big of a threat the 2nd game's villain will be if the kingdom is in better shape, and what means MC will use to avoid killing her. We already have 2 leads to pull on so far, and he's not even purposely gunning for them.
